INTERVIEW WITH CALEB ALEXANDER

IMG_1697.jpg

Caleb Alexander

was born in 1976 in Washington DC to a family with diverse backgrounds and beliefs; his father was the son of a pastor and his mother was a hippy. While Caleb was born in Washington DC he was raised on the opposite side of the nation in Central California. Caleb’s parent divorced when he was young so he often says that his Childhood was “bi-polar.” Caleb joined the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints when he was 20 and spent over 21 years as a faithful member of the church until a crisis of faith caused him to doubt the Church and eventually leave it for true Christianity.

Notes:

In the interview I mentioned that Boyd K. Packar had said that not everythign that is true is useful and that only what builds the Church should be shared, and you can read the entire article here. https://www.lds.org/manual/teaching-seminary-preservice-readings-religion-370-471-and-475/the-mantle-is-far-far-greater-than-the-intellect?lang=eng
