Not Everyone is called to be Daniel: Standing up for what is right.

We can learn a lot from John the Baptist, both in his standing up for what was right, even though it cost him his life and in the fact that being right with God does not guarantee life will be smooth sailing. As Christians, whenever we are faced with trials we like to think our stories will end like those of Daniel who was thrown into the Lions Den and survived or Shadrach, Meshack and Abednigo who survived being thrown into the fire, but not all of us are called to be Daniel or Shadrach, Meshack and Abednigo, some of us are called to be John the Baptist who was beheaded or Stephen who was stoned to death.
