Often times we overreact to situations and do things we can’t take back, sometimes things with serious consequences. Today I will discuss two such stories from the Bible, one in Genesis and one in Kings. It is important to realize that while the actions of these people were horrible they were in no way approved of by God.

They never thought that God might be calling them to serve in japan, but by God’s grace they realized that the kingdom of God is bigger than any one of us. After witnessing the way God is using Mustard Seed Network to spread the gospel through urban church planting, they knew this was something they wanted to be part of. Will you commit to praying alongside Tyler and Sevie for Japan as they prepare to move to Tokyo?

Jesus said, “You shall know the truth and the truth shall set you free.” Anyone who stands to gain from keeping you in the dark certainly doesn’t want to set you free.
Read MoreLegalism exists when people attempt to secure righteousness in God’s sight by good works. Legalists believe that they can earn or merit God’s approval by performing the requirements of the law. A legalist believes that their good works and obedience to God affects their salvation. Legalism focuses on God’s laws more than relationship with God. It keeps external laws without a truly submitted heart. And legalism adds human rules to divine laws and treats them as divine

Read MoreIn This Week’s episode I discuss my experience in a Charismatic church when I was struggling with faith and how instead of helping to strengthen my faith they aided in my complete loss of faith. As Christians we are called to be hospitable and welcoming, and we are called to make disciples out of all nations. The church in this story failed in these areas in a massive way.
Read MoreWe can learn a lot from John the Baptist, both in his standing up for what was right, even though it cost him his life and in the fact that being right with God does not guarantee life will be smooth sailing. As Christians, whenever we are faced with trials we like to think our stories will end like those of Daniel who was thrown into the Lions Den and survived or Shadrach, Meshack and Abednigo who survived being thrown into the fire, but not all of us are called to be Daniel or Shadrach, Meshack and Abednigo, some of us are called to be John the Baptist who was beheaded or Stephen who was stoned to death.
